Nowadays, people, I mean most people write and produce songs out of desperation and not inspiration. No wonder some songs die the very first day you play them while others continuously ring in your mind no matter the distraction.

One of my friends once told me that music is simply the way a writer or composer passes his or her message to the ever increasing audience and makes them understand exactly what he or she feels. Hence, the kind of music you write or sing certainly defines your personality. It's no secret that music is the food of the soul. This implies that good music is good food for the soul while bad music is............. your guess is as good as mine.

Okaka........ I came across this album some days back and I was compelled to listen to it. It was a friend's output and I felt the necessity to listen to some tracks. Well, I must say I was shocked! At first,  I liked the beating, the chorus and then the arrangement. It was waow! Coming from a guy I felt couldn't differenciate "doh" from "sew" and I thought couldn't tell the difference between a country song and a classical one, I was not just shocked but impressed. It was great.

Yes!  I know the arrangement of the song could be made better and the beats more scintillating, but, trust me, this young guy is multi talented. Considering the fact that this is the first time I feel he is ever rising up to take charge of his career as a singer and also his first album.  This awesome fellow goes by the name Lawrence Uchechi and the name of the album is OKAKA.
